Mayweather weighed in at 146 pounds ahead of his mega fight with Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday night, and he stopped by various media outlets after.
The 38-year-old was interviewed by Sky Sports, with Froch on hand to ask a question after the initial assessment of how the weigh-in went was given by the unbeaten superstar.
In his defence, Mayweather in fact involved him in the conversation by referring to him as a great champion who knows what the process is all about, but Froch didn’t let him go without talking about that night at Wembley last May.
Should Froch opt to retire and not return to the ring again, he can be fully satisfied with that knockout punch on Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium being the last that he throws in his professional career.
However, just in case ‘Money’ wasn’t aware of it, the Nottingham-born fighter made sure that he knew the tale as he had yet another dig at Groves.
The pair had a little chuckle and spoke about how swimming and chopping wood improved their power, and it remains to be seen if Mayweather can produce a knockout blow on Saturday night.
