Klitschko defends his world titles against his unbeaten rival at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, and the stars were certainly out in force on Friday for the weigh-in.
Both fighters looked in great shape as they took to the scales, while the likes of Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko and Evander Holyfield were all present ahead of a significant bout in the heavyweight division.
However, the drama unfolded after they departed from the stage as instead of going after Klitschko like he has done for the past year or so, Briggs focused his attention on fellow American Wilder who was also in attendance.
Their exchange did in fact threaten to boil over at one stage with Briggs sweating profusely as he tried to goad the WBC champion, and it remains a realistic possibility that the pair will meet in a clash in the summer with Wilder touted to return to the ring in June.
The ‘Bronze Bomber’ won the belt against Bermane Stiverne back in January, but injury has prevented him from making a defence of the title. Judging by the nature of the conversation below, he may well be looking to silence Briggs at some point in the near future which would be a welcome sight for Klitschko who has been hounded by the former heavyweight champion for some time.
