Manny Pacquiao had a clear message for rival Floyd Mayweather on Friday, he wants him to “sign the contract” and get the fight announced.
TMZ caught up with ‘Pac-Man’ as he was heading to a meeting, and as expected the first question he was asked was related to his potential fight against Mayweather in May.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Pacquiao had agreed to the terms of the fight which included a 60-40 purse split in favour of Mayweather while the venue and date were also agreed to with the MGM Grand set to host the biggest fight in boxing history on May 2.
However, there is still a long way to go in negotiations before an announcement is made as there has been no official confirmation that Mayweather has signed off on anything while the broadcasters, Showtime and HBO, also need to come an agreement on production, announcers and various other aspects of the fight.
Nevertheless, Pacquiao appeared relaxed and had a simple message for his long-time rival as the excitement continues to build over the fact that the fight could realistically happen later this year.
