Former Stade Brestois striker Nolan Roux came to haunt his old team with the winning goal for Lille OSC in this Ligue 1 match.
Stade Brestois were beaten at home by Lille OSC in Ligue 1 and remain in the relegation dogfight.
Their record of 29 points from 30 matches means they don’t even manage a point per match domestically, and that would normally be form that puts them into the bottom three.
However, somehow there have been three teams worse than Brest this season in Sochaux, Nancy and Troyes.
Nancy gained ground on Stade Brestois with their shock 0-2 victory at Rennes, making this match even more vital for Brest.
They began well, taking an early lead through Florian Raspentino, but LOSC quickly hit back with a goal from former Chelsea star Salomon Kalou.
As is so often the way, a player came back to hurt his old team, and Nolan Roux came off the bench to score the winner against former club Brest.
