Leg-spinning legend out of the rest of the game at Lords.
Talk about an anti-climax.
Seeing Shane Warne roll his arm over for the international team was set to be one of the many highlights for the Lord’s bicentenary game, but countryman Brett Lee undid all of that for cricket fans.
Anybody would think they were arch-enemies rather than former teammates and Australians, with Lee charging in and hitting Warne flush on the hand with a full-toss delivery.
Warne clearly looked in trouble at the time of impact as his hand was crushed against the handle of the bat, with word coming through he was out of the rest of the game, with Adam Gilchrist taking over captaincy duties for the side.
Lee must have thought it was Piers Morgan batting not Warne.
