Justin Hodges previews the 2013 season for the Broncos.
The Brisbane Broncos barely managed to keep their finals record intact as they scraped through in 8th place into last season’s finals series.
After a flawless start to the 2012 season which had the Broncos firmly in first place, an Origin slump of epic proportions left the Broncos wallowing with only one win from seven games.
Anthony Griffin has made a distinct selection of players welcoming back three ex-broncos in Scott Prince, David Stagg and Denen Kemp. All three are players that previous coach Wayne Bennet let go from the club, but bringing them back could add some experience to the Broncos season.
The signing of Scott Prince from the Gold Coast Titans has been a great decision to cover the inexperienced halves combination. The move will add some much-needed spark to the Broncos attack alongside Peter Wallace.
The Broncos are always a quality team filled with Queensland and Australian representatives, but it will be up to coach Anthony Griffin to make sure the team play consistently both before and after the Origin period.
