The Ultimate Fighter winner says he is not intimidated by Ryan Couture.
They might be fans of each other’s respective fighting styles, but Ross Pearson and Ryan couture might change their tunes after UFC on Fuel 9 this weekend.
The pair spoke about their upcoming bout as part of the fight night in Stockholm with Pearson admitting he feels like he’s fighting a lightweight version of Randy Couture.
Ryan’s father Randy is a UFC hall-of-famer who has won the promotion’s undisputed heavyweight title three times and its light heavyweight crown twice.
And while Pearson said he couldn’t help but notice their physical similarities, he is not going to have a problem adding another loss to his 6-1 career tally.
Pearson will be looking to string together wins for the first time since 2009/2010 having pulled out victories against George Sotiropoulos, Junior Assuncao and Spencer Fisher but also dropping fights to Cub Swanson, Edson Barboza, and Cole Miller.
Couture has picked up deicison wins in his last two bouts with Strikforce, but he will face the harsh glare of the UFC spotlight this weekend in Sweden.
