Sabres snap Pittsburgh 15-game winning streak.
Coming off the back of a perfect month in March with their 15-game winning streak, the Pittsburgh Penguins don’t like the look of April following their 4-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
It was their first loss in over a month and they failed to come up with the answers to questions posed by the Sabres who were worthy of their win.
Pittsburgh were one game away from the NHL record of 17 consecutive wins set by the 1992-1993 Penguins, but struggled without injured captain Sidney Crosby.
Despite the defeat, they remain at the top of the Eastern Conference with a comfortable buffer over nearest rivals the Montreal Canadiens. However, they will hope to bounce back immediately when they face the New York Rangers on Wednesday night.
