Blackhawks end two-game skid with win at United Center.
Having suffered two straight losses by surrendering leads in the final period, the Chicago Blackhawks got back to business on Tuesday night with victory over Calgary Flames.
Nick Leddy and Brent Seabrook gave the home side the lead heading into the final period at the United Center, and it was a lead they weren’t in the mood to let slip.
Ray Emery made 16 saves, while Patrick Kane was pivotal as he laid on both assists.
Still missing injured star duo Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville will be delighted to see the reaction from his players as they move their record to 25-4-3 for the season.
Chicago remain at the top of the Western Conference, with a five point buffer over rivals the Anaheim Ducks.
