Groves expected to reveal his tactics for the fight…
Carl Froch and George Groves will come face-to-face before their highly anticipated rematch on Saturday night.
The British rivals return to Wembley on Thursday to participate in the final press conference ahead of the fight, and they are expected to face off as well as take another trip inside the stadium.
Given that the infamous ‘shove’ occurred last time they were brought together at the 80,000 capacity arena, it is widely expected that tempers will flare again this time round, while Groves has also promised fight fans that he will reveal which punch he intends to knock his opponent out with.
In contrast, Froch has continued his calm approach and insists that he is not allowing the Londoner to get under his skin, although it remains to be seen whether or not he can “hold it together” as Groves has put it over the course of their rivalry.
The challenger for the WBA and IBF titles has claimed that he will probably have a few more tricks left up his sleeve to rile his opponent but has kept them to himself in the build-up, but with the weigh-in set for Friday, he could well look to gain a psychological advantage over Froch in the mean time.
Groves claims that the fight can go whichever way he wants it to but is confident that his opponent will not go the distance, while his trainer, Paddy Fitzpatrick, believes that his fighter will win in either the fifth or sixth round.
