Celtics win without Kevin Garnett to make it 11 straight home wins.
The Boston Celtics sealed a comfortable 105-88 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night, despite the absence of the injured Kevin Garnett.
The Celtics shared the load ruthlessly, with six players ending the game in double scoring figures. Paul Pierce led the way for the starting line-up with 14 points, while Jason Terry had a team-high 15 off the bench.
Saturday’s result makes it 11 consecutive wins for Doc Rivers’ men at home, and they welcome the Miami Heat to the TD Garden on Monday night hoping to end their winning streak, albeit it will be dependent on whether Miami defeat Toronto on Sunday.
The latest win sees Boston move to identical records with both the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks as there is nothing to split fifth to seventh in the Eastern Conference.
