D-Will helps Brooklyn hold off the Bobcats.
Deron Williams scored 30 or more points for the second straight home game as the Brooklyn Nets sealed a 105-96 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night at the Barclays Center.
Williams ended the game with 32 points and six assists, while Brook Lopez added 19 points as the Nets moved to 44-32 for the season and remain in fourth spot in the Eastern Conference.
Ben Gordon had 27 points for Charlotte, but it wasn’t enough in their bid to pull off a surprise result against a Brooklyn side eager to fend off the challenge of the Chicago Bulls for that fourth place.
The Bobcats face the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, while the Nets play host to the Philadelphia 76ers on the same night.
