Cech has been heavily linked with a move to the Blues’ London rivals over recent weeks, and Sky Sports reports the 33-year-old has agreed to personal terms in principle with the Gunners.
A transfer fee is still to be agreed between the two clubs, but it is believed Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has sanctioned the transfer in part due to Cech’s loyalty to the club since joining in 2004.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho has previously stated he would attempt to block any move to the Gunners, but it now seems the transfer is inevitable.
Cech has dropped behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and made just 10 appearances last season as Chelsea stormed to its fourth Premier League title.
It is believed Chelsea were hopeful Cech would decide to join interested Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, but a move to the Gunners is likely imminent.
