Watch a video of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech in action during an intense training drill on the west London club’s Asian tour.
Being a goalkeeper isn’t easy. There are games where the player stands between the sticks for ninety minutes whilst nothing happens, but knowing that he must retain concentration throughout, and there are matches where the custodian is under the cosh, and must be quick on his feet to make save after save.
It is this situation that a shot-stopper must train for, and Chelsea star Petr Cech shows his brilliant skill in this video below.
The Czech Republic international jumps from a sitting start to save a volley in the air, and quickly recovers to make a save low down at his feet.
Only by practising the same drills over and over does a goalkeeper develop into a true great, and Cech has won everything there is to win in club football.
