Toews scores twice as Chicago continue red-hot form.
No one can stop Chicago right now, and it doesn’t look like anyone will any time soon.
Just 20 seconds into the game, the Blackhawks showed why they are the best team in the NHL with a slick passing move that ended with Toews scoring with his skate. It just seems that every piece of luck is going Chicago’s way right now, and when you keep winning, that luck keeps going.
There was cause for concern however, when starting goal tender Corey Crawford gingerly skated off the ice clutching his abdomen, then limped to the dressing room. Chicago have refused to comment on what the injury is, and have not disclosed a time period Crawford will be out for.
The bubble will bust at some point for the 2011 Stanley Cup champions, but with the team in this kind of form, it has hard for anyone to overlook them as the potential national champions just 20 games into the season.
