Raptors defeat Bulls for second time in four days.
A weary Chicago Bulls fell to a 97-88 loss to the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre on Friday night.
Following on from their overtime win over the New York Knicks on Thursday, the Bulls were outpaced by their opponents, who outscored them 23-6 on the fast break.
Amir Johnson led the Raptors with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Rudy Gay added 23 points, five steals and three blocked shots.
The Bulls were without Richard Hamilton down the stretch, after he was ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul on Demar DeRozan.
Carlos Boozer’s 19 points and 12 rebounds led the Bulls, while Nate Robinson add 17 off the bench. However, it wasn’t enough for coach Tom Thibodeau who was again without the injured trio of Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose.
The Raptors face the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, while the Bulls prepare for a trip to Miami to face the Eastern Conference leading Heat.
