Bulls secure valuable win against Eastern Conference rivals.
The Chicago Bulls sealed a valuable 92-90 win over the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Thursday night.
Having scored the final five points of the game, the Bulls took the lead for good with Nate Robinson’s late floater over the outstretched fingers of Brook Lopez, as they move back into 5th place in the East at the expense of the Atlanta Hawks.
Chicago were led by Carlos Boozer who recorded his 38th double-double of the season with 29 points and 18 rebounds, while Luol Deng had 18 points and Jimmy Butler added a further 16.
Deron Williams continued his fine form since the All-Star break, but his 30 points along with Brook Lopez’s 28 weren’t enough to hold off the Bulls as the fight for the No.4 seed gets closer with less than a fortnight of the regular season remaining.
The Bulls host the Orlando Magic on Friday night hoping to put together back-to-back wins, while the Nets will hope to bounce back immediately when they face the Charlotte Bobcats.
