Noah shows exactly why he was awarded Defensive Player of the Year last season…
Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah is known for his intensity and competitiveness on the basketball court, and it appears it stretches off it too.
The 29-year-old played some one-on-one with the youngsters at a Noah’s Arc Foundation event in Chicago, and despite their age, he wasn’t about to let them score against him so easily.
Although he did eventually help one young man to get his shot off, it was a particularly impressive show of blocking and intercepting from the Bulls big man, who will hope to put the practice to good use when he returns to action later this year.
Having spoken about his excitement over the new roster that the Bulls front office has assembled this off-season, Noah will continue to be an integral part of the franchise’s success as they look to finally end their wait for another championship.
Chicago have added Pau Gasol, Nikola Mirotic and Aaron Brooks amongst others this summer, and despite missing out on Carmelo Anthony, coach Tom Thibodeau will hope he has the weapons in place to take them to the next level.
