Catchers gaffe in the eight inning led to team conceding tying run and momentum swing.
After his catastrophic error of judgement mid way through the eight inning, Chicago Cubs catcher Wellington Castillo was quick to put the blame om himself after the team saw their lead slip away.
Castillo failed to collect an off-target pitch safely, and the loose ball was enough to to see the San Diego Padres tie the game up, and move on to take the lead.
The Cubs have once again had another poor start to the season, with a current record of 11-17, the curse of Billy Goat
