Cleverly vs Bellew 2 head-to-head: (Video) Final press conference between feuding pair.
Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew come face-to-face for the final time before fight night on Friday for the weigh-in in Liverpool, and it promises to be fiery.
The pair attended the final press conference on Thursday and exchanged words, with Bellew slapping his rival’s hand away after taking a dislike towards being pointed at.
Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that the two men got personal during the head-to-head and he is hopeful that things don’t boil over at the weigh-in, with just over 24 hours remaining until they enter the ring.
It is another huge night for British boxing with the likes of James DeGale, George Groves and Anthony Joshua featuring on the bill, but the main event has certainly captured the attention of the boxing world as a rivalry is finally expected to be settled.
The Welshman sealed a points win when the pair met back in 2011, but after making the step up to the cruiserweight division, they both believe that they are now more powerful, more durable and much more comfortable at the weight and so it promises to be a completely different fight.
Both Cleverly and Bellew have insisted that they don’t expect the fight to go the distance, and so fans at the Echo Arena and those watching on Sky Box Office will be hopeful of an explosive bout.
