Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew came face-to-face on Thursday ahead of their highly anticipated rematch at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Saturday night.
While both fighters answered questions from promoter Eddie Hearn and the assembled media along with their respective trainers, Bellew won a coin toss which will see him enter the ring second on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the pair couldn’t help themselves but to engage in an exchange of words at the table prior to their head-to-head photos, where Bellew revealed that he told his rival some “home truths”.
Nevertheless, while tempers were controlled for the most part, the Evertonian didn’t take too well to Cleverly raising his finger up and pointing at him and after warning him not to do so, slapped his hand away as they were both taken to either side of the room.
With just two more days to go, the excitement continues to build as there is a huge undercard on show too with the likes of James DeGale, Anthony Joshua and George Groves featuring on the bill.
However, all eyes will be on the main event with both men insisting that the fight probably won’t go the distance with Bellew suggesting he can take the Welshman out with one punch while Cleverly plans to break down his opponent systematically.
