2014 Central American and Caribbean Games are currently being held in Veracruz. Like the Olympic Games, the meeting features a football tournament for youth sides. Whereas the Olympics is for U-23s with three over-age players, the Central American and Caribbean Games is exclusively for U-21 sides.

Mexico have just beaten Honduras 5-2 with MLS star Torres scoring twice. One of the goals looked suspicious though. Replays proved inconclusive, but reports suggested Torres punched the ball into the goal.
