Current Collingwood star could be signing with arch-rival early this week.
The revolving door in the AFL free agent market continues to spin with Dale Thomas on the cusp of signing with the Carlton Blues for next season.
The move has not come as a surprise with plenty of talk towards the back end of the year linking the still handy Thomas to a move that will see him reunited with former coach Mick Malthouse.
Thomas is a restricted free agent so Collingwood will be given a chance to match Carlton’s offers, however, as Magpies coach Nathan Buckley continues the blood-letting at the club after their disappointing end to the season, Thomas is expected to be allowed to leave.
The Club has officially lodged the paperwork to acquire restricted free agent @DT_13. Collingwood now has 72 hours to respond. #NAVYBLUES
