Nuggets squeeze past Mavericks for 19th straight home win.
Despite losing Danilo Gallinari to injury in the second quarter, the Denver Nuggets snatched a 95-94 win over the Dallas Mavericks at the Pepsi Center on Thursday.
With just 2.8 seconds left, it was Andre Iguodala who helped seal the win with his lay-up as the Nuggets won their 19th consecutive home game, as well as going 35-7 since January 1.
As a result, Denver move a half game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and two games ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers in the race for the third seed.
Corey Brewer scored 23 points while Andre Miller had a season-high 22 as they managed to rally and outscore the Mavericks 25-17 in the fourth quarter.
Dallas head to Sacramento on Friday to face the Kings as they hope to hold on to their chances of making the play-offs, while the Nuggets host the Houston Rockets.
