Ex-Manchester United star may feature in European Cup clash with Valencia.
Paris Saint-Germain’s veteran England midfield player David Beckham may start for his new club in their Uefa Champions League tie with Valencia at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.
Italy international Marco Verratti is suspended from the second leg meeting in the round of 16 and that means that the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Los Angeles Galaxy midfield player could now start his first Champions League encounter for the big-spending Ligue 1 team since he arrived in the French capital during the January transfer window.
The 37-year-old player came on as a substitute in the club’s surprise league defeat at struggling Reims on the weekend, although Beckham failed to make much of an impact on the team.
Meanwhile, La Liga outfit Valencia arrive in France on a great run of recent form, having been defeated on only one occasion in their previous ten league encounters and that was to Real Madrid.
