The skipper thinks their bad start to the 2013 IPL is down to a lack of consistency.
Delhi Daredevils captain Mahela Jayawardene cuts an exhausted figure as his side succumbed to their seventh defeat in eight matches against Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday.
Jayawardene is concerned that the Delhi batsmen cannot reach a winning figure of 140 to 150 runs and therefore the bowlers never have a realistic chance of taking the side to victory.
The skipper does admit that a bout of injuries has affected the franchise and he is still searching for a way for the Daredevils to get out of their rut.
