Rodman leaves country after successful trip in which he became great friends with Kim Jong Un.
After a five day trip with members of the Harlem Globetrotters, Dennis Rodman’s trip to North Korea has come to an end.
Speaking to press at the airport, Rodman was sad to leave the country and said that Jong-Un was a great friend of his, hoping that one day he visits the US.
After watching the games together, Kim admitted that he hoped this visit and friendship would be the start of a better relationship between the two nations, as diplomatic tensions rose after underground nuclear testing took place on the island last month.
The former Chicago Bulls forward was on the island as part of a new television show that will air in America in April.
While the whole visit has been seen as a little bizarre to most of the US public, it seems as if the trip really has worked for both countries, and a experience ‘The Worm’ will never forget.
