Hornets seal a surprise win over the Nuggets to end winning streak.
Few would have predicted the winning streak coming to an end in New Orleans, but come to an end it did as the Hornets secured a 110-86 win over the Denver Nuggets.
The Nuggets went an admirable 15 games without losing, but eventually came unstuck against the second-worst team in the Western Conference in the Hornets who move their record to 25-46 for the season.
Ryan Anderson led the way with 23 points while rookie Anthony Davis had 14 points and six rebounds.
Danilo Gallinari was one of few to perform for the Nuggets on the night, ending the game with 24 points. However, he was just one of three players who reached double scoring figures in a team which has made multiple high scorers a trademark of their play.
Denver will hope to bounce back against Western Conference leaders the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, while the Hornets are back in action against the Miami Heat on Friday night.
