Winner takes on Klitschko while Wilder could await loser.
With their fight scheduled for July 26 at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, Tyson Fury insists that he will “make mincemeat” out of Dereck Chisora in their rematch.
The winner has been guaranteed a shot to Wladimir Klitschko’s WBO heavyweight title, with Fury looking to extend his 22-fight unbeaten record while Chisora hopes to avenge his loss in their first meeting.
Both men insist that they are much improved since 2011, having both matured, increased their fitness levels while they have also gained experience by fighting quality opposition.
While Fury was arguably more intent on rattling his opponent than the laid-back Chisora, it promises to be a more entertaining fight than their first, with more at stake with the winner potentially securing their title shot.
However, American heavyweight and knockout king Deontay Wilder is also in the picture and could yet face Klitschko who is seeking to secure the WBC belt to complete a full set in the division.
Wilder is expected to face the winner of Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne who face each other on May 10, with the WBC title left vacant by Vitali Klitschko on the line.
Nevertheless, neither Fury or Chisora will be looking ahead of their next fight as promoter Frank Warren insisted that this is the biggest heavyweight fight out there at this moment in time, and it promises to be an interesting build-up as Fury looks to get under his opponent’s skin.
