D-Will heats up from beyond the arc in win over the Washington Wizards.
Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams poured in 42 points in the win over the Washington Wizards at the Barclays Center on Friday night.
What made his season-high points total even more special, was that D-Will drained nine first-half three-pointers to set a new NBA record.
He added two more from beyond the arc in the second half to go 15-of-24 shooting on the night, and considering his relative slump this season, the former Illinois star’s big night came as quite a shock.
The NBA record for most three-pointers in an entire game is 12, shared by Kobe Bryant in 2003 and Donyell Marshall in 2005.
However, Williams will be delighted with his effort on Friday night, as he looks to regain his form in front of the bucket. Check out his record-breaking three-point shooting show in the video below:
