Devon Alexander and Amir Khan came face-to-face at the final press conference on Thursday ahead of their bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The talking is almost done between the pair as the verbals have continued to be exchanged throughout the week, with Alexander claiming that he has had numerous UK fans reaching out to support him on social media.
Khan hit back and suggested that he has a lot of fans in Alexander’s hometown of St Louis, but with the clock ticking down to fight night, they will finally put it all on the line in the ring on Saturday.
For the winner, they will have the opportunity to go on and take part in some huge fights in 2015, with both men still chasing a bout with Floyd Mayweather. Khan has made no secret of his desire to fight the unbeaten superstar, and he believes that a convincing win on Saturday will take him closer to that clash.
Meanwhile, Alexander is building his career back up after his loss to Shawn Porter, and he will hope that victory on Saturday will catapult him back into the mix for world titles and keep him on the biggest of stages.
With Keith Thurman also featuring on the undercard and Timothy Bradley fighting in Vegas on the same night, it should be an entertaining night for boxing fans around the world while Kell Brook will undoubtedly look on hoping to meet Khan in the ring himself next year..
