Spaniard delighted with his performance as he has a share of the lead in Augusta.
Sergio Garcia called his first round at Augusta a dream start to his Masters weekend, as he carded a round of 66, which gives him a share of the lead at six under along with Australian Marc Leishman.
Garcia shot a bogey-free round, in an effortless performance that sent a clear message to the rest of the field suggesting he could be a major player for this year’s Green Jacket.
The big question surrounding Sergio though is how he would holdup if the pressure was on during Sunday’s action. Despite his popularity and success, Garcia has never won a major, and that lack of experience could play a part in deciding who will win The Masters.
