All-Star centre opens up ahead of Rockets training camp.
New Houston Rockets centre Dwight Howard said in order to get to where he wants to be in his career in the next five years, he needed to leave the Los Angeles Lakers.
Howard made the unprecedented move of oping out of a deal early from one of the most storied franchises in basketball history, to join the up-and-coming Rockets.
The All-Star centre said he made the big call because he values winning more than money.
“The biggest part was leaving a storied franchise and also leaving a lot of money on the table, but in order to win you’ve got to sacrifice something. It would have been great to have that stuff, the money and all that stuff, but I want to win,” Howard said.
fanatix wonders how his comments will go over in Lakerland?
