Chelsea took the lead on the stroke of half time in this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues had been frustrated by Alan Pardew’s Eagles for most of the opening 45 minutes, but a moment of magic from PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard won Jose Mourinho’s men a penalty, which the Belgian winger took himself.
Hazard’s initial effort was pretty awful. Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni saved the spot-kick, but he pushed the ball striaght back to Hazard, who planted the rebound into the inside of the side-netting.
Chelsea will be crowned champions of England for the first time since 2010 if they win today.
