Hird thanks fans and looks forward to season opener.
Shaking off the speculation surrounding the club and players with the on-going ASADA investigation Essendon coach James Hird thanked fans for their continuing support at the club’s annual Family Day.
Looking relaxed and excited for the season opener against the Adelaide Crows, Hird acknowledged the fans kept the club going despite the off-field dramas.
After injuring his ankle against Greater Western Sydney last weekend, Michael Hurley is confident he will play against Adelaide despite being in a moon boot for the fundraising event.
