The St. Louis Rams pulled off a shocking upset of the Seattle Seahawks as they defeated them, 28-26. The Seahawks appeared to be primed to have an opportunity to steal the win, and cornerback Richard Sherman celebrated after breaking up a third-down pass.
However, his celebration was cut short as the Rams had a trick up their sleeve. In a play that would have cost them the game if not executed properly, Rams punter Johnny Hekker threw a pass on a fake punt play and converted the first down.
The Rams maintained possession of the ball for the rest of the game to seal their victory and drop the Seahawks’ record to 3-3.
Here is a video from Vine of this unexpected play that helped the Rams achieve their huge win.
