Camera catches reactions of Rose, Faried and Harden as ‘Tall Blacks’ perform haka…
Ahead of their 71-98 loss to Team USA at the FIBA World Cup on Tuesday, New Zealand performed their traditional haka dance which seemed to confuse their opponents.
The ‘Tall Blacks’ were unable to compete with their superior rivals over the course of the Group C encounter, with the Americans moving closer to securing their place in the Round of 16.
While they will now face the Dominican Republic and Ukraine later this week, Houston Rockets guard James Harden will be happy to hear that those nations won’t be performing the haka ahead of the games.
As the camera pans out to Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls point guard appears to be mesmerised by the situation, while Kenneth Faried is also particularly curious as to what he is happening in Bilbao.
However, it isn’t until Harden comes into shot when the real seriousness comes into play as the Rockets star looks genuinely worried and confused by what is happening.
Respectfully, Team USA are seen clapping as the haka concludes before returning to their bench, but someone will want to have a quick chat with Harden to see if he has recovered from the ordeal…
