The Dallas Cowboys have just begun their matchup against the New York Giants, one of their biggest rivals in the entire league.
This intense rivalry may explain why both teams engaged in an altercation after the opening kickoff. It is unclear why the teams got into a fight, but the confrontation was brief before the referees came in and broke it up.
The Cowboys are looking to continue proving that they are a contender, and the Giants are seeking to put themselves back in playoff contention following a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
