3. Dirk Nowitzki – Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks will miss out on the play-offs for the first time in 13 years this season, and are struggling to avoid falling short of the .500 mark for the first time since 2000.
Dirk Nowitzki has had a disappointing season by his high standards, albeit hugely affected by injury with his average of 17.3 PPG his lowest since his rookie campaign back in 1998/99.
However, it doesn’t take away from the disappointment of not seeing him in the play-offs, and at the age of 34, he’ll hope there aren’t many more seasons where he is deprived of a post season.
