Norwich City ended a four-match losing streak by beating Swansea City 1-0 this afternoon to climb away from the Premier League relegation zone, and they have Lukasz Fabianksi to thank for their victory.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper made a mess of coming to claim a Norwich corner midway through the second half, allowing Dieumerci Mbokani to head across goal for Jonny Howson to score a crucial goal.

Fabianski never truly made the grade at the Emirates Stadium, making 78 appearances across seven seasons, but he was voted Swansea’s Players’ Player of the Year during his debut season.
Much like many of his teammates, though, the Pole has been unable to sustain his standards this campaign, and the Welsh club consequently find themselves firmly in the bottom half of the table.
Their standing of 14th will likely be a disappointment for Garry Monk, after their unbeaten four-game start to the season suggested that the Swans could equal or better their eighth-place finish of last term.
Norwich are now only a point and a place behind Swansea in the table, four points above the bottom three, and will hope to build on their first clean sheet of the season after the international break.
