Henry and Co discuss the upcoming 2013 MLS campaign in New York
With the new Major League Soccer season set to get under way again at the start of next month, some of the league’s big-name stars have been discussing the upcoming campaign.
“It’s always harder to win the next one, you know? The first time is good, the second time’s hard – like, what it was last season, we didn’t make it easy for ourselves – but certainly this year is even going to be a lot harder because you’re playing against teams that are so desperate to beat you, because you’re the team that’s always winning,” said Los Angeles Galaxy forward Robbie Keane.
“So it’s going to be tough, it’s going to be a challenge, but it’s a good challenge to have. It’s pressure, but it’s good pressure. When you’re playing for a top team this is the pressure that you have to deal with and I look forward to it.
“No Beckham, obviously no. David’s gone to Paris so we wish him well. He’s been great for the L.A. Galaxy and I think for this league in general he’s been a credit.”

Meanwhile New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry said: “Unfortunately for all of us, we are going to have to chase L.A. – same thing. You know, people are like … At the end of the day, for me, it is the same thing: you lose in the final or your lose first round.
“There is only one team that is going to be happy and with the cup and going on holiday with a big smile and that was L.A. again, so we all have to chase them and make sure that we can. Hopefully it is going to be us, stop them from winning the treble.”
