Former Steelers LB James Harrison was NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2008.
Many professional athletes, coaches and even executives have been taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and money to fund research for ALS (aka Lou Gehrig’s disease). Former Steelers and Bengals LB James Harrison decided to take the challenge to a whole new level with his fourteen-plus bucket bath that he took on Saturday.
Harrison is considered one of the NFL’s meanest players of all-time, winning Defensive Player of the Year for the Steelers in 2008 and making 5 Pro Bowls. His 100-yard INT-TD of Kurt Warner in Superbowl XLIII is considered one of the greatest plays in Superbowl history. He also earned a reputation in the last few years for head-hunting – accumulating over $100,000 in fines in his last few years with the Steelers.
