Players test the new no-punching rule in the NRL to its limits.
After the first between Paul Gallen and Nate Myles in State of Origin I divided the Australian sporting public, the NRL attempted to crack down on punches being thrown in games.
It seems Blues prop Trent Merrin did not get the memo.
As the game began to slip away from New South Wales, Merrin walked forward from his position at marker and landed two shorts jabs to the jaw of Maroons centre Brent Tate.
From there players from both sides rushed in as they attempted to separate their teammates.
But it was no used as four players were sent to the sin-bin, and are expected to be hauled in front of the NRL match review committee.
