Morabito looking to make AFL return.
Freemantle winger Anthony Morabito had already been through two full knee reconstructions when he tore the graft on the repaired ligament in his left knee during training last year.
Morabito has not played for the Dockers since 2010 when he began his horror roller-coaster ride of injuries. The latest incident left the crocked player considering his future as an athlete.
Rejecting the idea of retiring from AFL the 190cm midfielder opted for the controversial ligament augmentation and reconstruction system (LARS) surgery on his troublesome left knee.
The surgery can reduce a player’s recovery time by up to 9 months but is considered dangerous by many medical professionals.
