Former Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston was victorious in the first game of FSU’s title defense thanks in large part to a scintillating TD run in the 3rd quarter.
FSU’s win over Oklahoma State had many incredible highlight moments – an INT-TD in the first quarter, a 50-yard TD strike in the 4th, a game-changing forced fumble on J.W. Walsh – but none were more impressive or perhaps as momentum changing than Heisman trophy winner Jameis Winston’s 28-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter.
The Seminoles were driving up by just three after a huge Cowboys TD pass made the game 20-17. But then Jameis Winston did his best Steve Young impression with this play:
The TD gave the Seminoles a 27-17 lead and FSU never gave up the lead after that.
