Poor old Gareth Bale isn’t have a good time of it at the moment. Last season’s golden boy is continually at the wrong end of the ire launched from the Madridistas every week.
And following Wednesday night’s Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of Italian giants Juventus, the Welshman was once again the target of some heavy criticism.
Real drew the game 1-1 on the night, which meant that they lost out 3-2 on aggregate as Bale tried in vein to turn around his side’s fortunes in what can best be described as a frustrating performance.
Jokes were doing the rounds on social media saying that he would need an armoured vehicle to getaway in one piece after the final whistle, and the barbs cut a little close to the bone as he was given some considerable grief when leaving in his car.
Bale was verbally abused by Real Madrid supporters outside the Bernabeu, who called him a “motherf****r” (“Cabron”) and “son of a b***” (“hijo de puta”).
Looks like those rumours of a move to Man United won’t be dying down anytime soon then…
