Gold Coast Suns leader could be out for up to six weeks.
The Gold Coast Suns might have earned a season-defining victory over the Collingwood Magpies at home this weekend but it looks to have come at a great cost.
Skipper Gary Ablett was subbed out of the game after he appeared to dislocate his shoulder badly, with the usually tough on-baller in significant pain after the incident.
Early estimates have Ablett out for six weeks which would put a massive dent in his chances of winning another Brownlow Medal, with no previous winner missing more than four weeks and still picking up the title, as a result, bookies have suspended all markets.
