Balotelli scores yet again as Rossoneri consolidate third place with away win.
First half:
22′ [0 – 1] G. Pazzini
Second half:
60′ [0 – 2] M. Balotelli
Former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli grabbed the headlines again as 10-man AC Milan consolidated their grip on third place with a 2-0 win at lowly Genoa, extending their unbeaten run in the Serie A to ten games.
Balotelli, who started on the bench, scored the second after the man he replaced, Giampaolo Pazzini, had notched the opener.
The win was perfect preparation for AC Milan’s Champions League last-16 second leg tie against Barcelona next week.
But the result was marred by an ugly second half incident when Guinea full-back Kevin Constant was sent-off for a sustained attempt to confront Genoa’s Cesare Bovo 25 minutes from time.
