Nuggets lose at home for the first time since January 18.
It was the Stephen Curry show on Tuesday night in Denver, as he led the Golden State Warriors to a 131-117 win over the Nuggets to tie their opening round play-off series 1-1.
Curry scored 30 points and had 13 assists as he stepped up his game to take control of the Warriors, making up for the absence of the injured David Lee.
Jarrett Jack (26) and Harrison Barnes (24) were also integral in the win for Golden State, who had four players score more than 20 points and shot 64.6 percent from the field.
It was a franchise play-off best, and is also the highest shooting percentage in the NBA playoffs since Utah’s 65.1 percent back in 1991.
As for the Nuggets, they were led by Ty Lawson who had 19 points and 12 assists, while Cory Brewer also added 19 points. There were no late heroics from Andre Miller this time round, as Denver saw their 24-game home winning streak ended.
These two meet again on Friday night, however they take their series away from the Pepsi Center for Game 3 in Oakland.
