Jay Cutler has had his ups and downs (mostly downs, what with only 1 playoff appearance in a nearly 9 year NFL career), and this game against the Falcons certainly was NOT one of them after leading the Bears to a 27-13 victory and recording a 109.6 passer rating – his 32nd career game with a rating of 100 or higher – but this play was certainly one of the most unique goofs in a gaffe-filled career for Jay Cutler:
Cutler, a right-handed QB, does his best southpaw impression by making a left-handed throw as he was in the process of being sacked. But rather than hitting a receiver or even the ground, the ball somehow hits the knee of the midfield referee.
Congratulations Jay! You have won the goof of the week award!
